EUGENE, Ore. — A decked out dump truck is the latest in a line of creative tailgating rides to make its way to Autzen Stadium.
The spirited vehicle belongs to Tennessee’s Waste Connections, the sister company of the local garbage company, Sanipac. The decorated dump truck travelled more than 2,000 miles for the game. Sanipac made the journey to Tennessee a few years back and Waste Connections wanted to return the favor. It settled into a lot near Autzen on Thursday.
“It’s just a great way for what we do in our business to give back to our customers, using a vehicle we actually use. People recognize it and we put all the graphics that support the community. This draws people in,” said Waste Connections Division Vice-President Steve Lafollette.
Waste Connections says its employees did all the remodeling on their own.
